can anyone tell me what temperature these straighters heat up to? I know the last post says 410 degrees, but the next one says 4000, or is every model different? Thank you

Sorry about that, here's the correct info.
    Heats up to 410°F(210°C)

The extra "0" in the other post is the ° degree that I did not know how to put it on.

If you buy the Corioliss Pro in a kiosk in the mall it can cost up to $179. But if you buy it on eBay you can get a new one cheaper. You can find it 50$ - 60$ including shipping.
Look for a link in the top of this website which will take you to a whole list of the Corioliss straighteners.

THE COMPANY'S # IS NOT FROM THE U.S. WHERE I LIVE AND THE STORE WHERE I BOUGHT IS DOES NOT SELL THEM ANYMORE. I'M DESPERATE BECAUSE THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY WILL EXPIRE SOON.

i originally saw a corioliss kiosk in a mall and all of a sudden the corioliss kiosk was replaced with one that says "her styler". they look identical to the corioliss straighteners and they even have a black one with adjustable heat and a pink with automatic. are the "her styler" ones the same as corioliss?

Hi, I bought a coriliss (black)straightener last year from a kiosk in the mall and it was dual voltage. However, when I was looking up on eBay and reading your description, I noticed that only the Pink one explicitly states Dual voltage. Has Corioliss stopped making the black in Dual voltage or is there a product ID number I should be looking for?

BTW, thanks for the web page, it is really helpful.

    Thanks

Be CAREFUL when buying this product, or if you already have. I have been getting the run around all day on warranty information as my Corioliss Jade no longer turns on. The email address for the company (contact@corioliss.com) doesn't work, and the UK phone number also says "Please try again". I doubt getting a replacement is possible at this point.

I bought your flat iron at our local mall (Florence) and the ceramic plate is also cracking and I took it back to the mall & it's a different company now they say. My warranty is ready to expire and I went to UPS to mail it back & the price was $65, not to say I paid $137 for this. Warranty expires on 11-26-06 & need to know what to do about this problem, I bought it under good faith of the seller now stand behind your product, since this wasn't a cheap product to purchase.

To mail the flat iron back through UPS the price is $65. this is a rip off to have to spend this much to mail the product back. the adress is in the UK somewhere that's why its so expensive.

I also recently bought one at the mall and the guy told me it had a life time warranty and that if i didnt not like it i could bring it back for a refund. i got the gift pack basket for $150. when i got home and looked at it, it has a *1 YEAR!!!* warranty. Then i found out that my mom got the same thing for me for christmas and when i called to see if i could get a refund and he told me there are no refunds. he told me to give it to a friend and i just laughed yea right! then i asked about the warranty and he told me that if you have your license its a life time warranty but if you dont then its only a year. that makes sense!(NO!!!) so now im going to the store and telling everyone that even walks by not to buy one. What nice people huh? DO NOT BUY ONE! think about it this way if they are SO GOOD then why is it that you can buy it at the mall but the professional ones ( Chi, Croc. ect.) you have to have a license to get????

  • At 6:41 PM, Blogger Calli7 said…

If you spend less that $30 buy one as when it stops working properly in a month or 2, you would have got your moneys worth.

OTHERWISE - DO NOT BUY ANY CORIOLISS PRODUCT

Do not believe ANY warranty - as they do not return your emails & are very hard to contact by phone.

    Dual Voltage: 110V-220V

  • At 10:54 AM, Blogger breezy4 said…

    thank you
    what exactly does that mean
    dual voltage
i live in europe now and im trying to find a converter
that i can use the straightner

  • At 11:12 AM, Blogger the-Corioliss said…

    You got 2 choices

There's one that only does the convert so you can plug it in.

    Which look like :

    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/2193XHV14NL._SL500_AA240_.jpg

This kinds of converter will work only if your device does the convert it's self. Which mean it's only cosmetic so you can plug your device to the wall, otherwise it'll blow your device.

They other one is the more complicate looking one that actually does the convert itself.

    Something like that :
    http://image.normthompson.com/sahalie/images/us/local/products/detail/77445.jpg

To know which one you need go to a Home Depot and ask there for help, you also need to read the guide that come with it.

One more thing, when the say Dual Voltage they usually mean the device does the convert and you only need a converter so you can plug it to the wall. But I'll suggest to check about it before you get the first one.

If you want to email Corioliss about it go to their website at corioliss.com and look at the top menu for contact info.

    Goodluck

I bought my Corioliss straighteners from Selfriges, London. I have straightened afro hair. The salesgirl said they will never burn your hair, she does hers all day, because, and I quote, 'They work on a principle of steam'. My hair has broken off two, three inches. i was growing it for my wedding. I am very upset, afro hair can take a long while to grow back. She also said it had a lifetime guarantee. I am going to take them back, I want a refund. if they don't, I am going to camp out on their stand in Selfriges untill they do.

I live in Canada and I had bought the Pro-Fix Corioliss about 2 months ago (It was a limited edition in Canada at the time). Just a week ago though, one plate started to fall off and it appeard to be melted even though I turned it off everyday. The clock is ticking on my warrenty. How do I get a new one? I tried the Corioliss site, but some people said that the email doesn't work!
Who do I call if I live in Canada???

  • At 9:53 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said…

My sister and I have one. I have the black one which seems to have a short in the cord because I have to wiggle the cord pull it and then hold it. I haven't used it that much either. My sister has the pink one and one of the plates is falling off. They are very good and comfortable to use, but do not last very long. After reading all the reviews, I guess it would be a lot easier just to buy a new one. But at $100- $150 a pop... who would want to keep buying replacements.

    Hello,

I'm having a problem with my corioliss hair straightner. I purchased it from Selfridges two years ago while I was on holiday in the UK. When I came back to the United States the straightner stopped working. I used the same international converter that I use for most of my electronic devices but no results. The light would turn on, however, it would not heat up. I took it with me recently to Dubai, UAE and it worked there as well so I know that it's not broken but probably a problem with the voltage. I've taken it to electronic stores but they cant figure it out either. I have the gold C2. Could you lease tell me what I should do get it to work in the US. Thank you.

I cannot find a contact number anywhere for corioliss canada only an email that says info@corioliss.ca which I have sent multiple emails to and received nothing. Can anyone tell me how to contact the company and sort out why I have been charged but received nothing.

my Corioliss has been working perfectly for the past 2 years... I bought it cheap off eBay.
I travel internationally with it and it works anywhere. I also had a question about it's 'dual' voltage but mine works just fine everywhere even though it says
    110-120.
And I'm from Australia and we use 220-240!

never have we delt with more rude, disrepectful, sales people then those that work for this company. They do not fit the description of the job qualifications in dealing with customers. Do not honor the warrenty, accuse the customer of tampering with the iron in order for them not to take an exchange. lie and say the company will loose money on an exchange.we have been lied to and told we were being sold a quality product. we will have to get mall security and a lawyer involved just for an exchange. it's rediculous!
